  Worship Ministries

The primary goal for the Worship Ministry at GRBC is to raise up a community of worshippers. That is, we want people to come to each service expecting to meet and commune with God. The specific task for our worship leadership is to facilitate that intimate encounter between God and His people.

God accomplished the creative act so that the creation would bring glory to (worship) His name (Isaiah 43:7,21). Today, God the Father is seeking true worshippers, that is, people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23,24). However, sinful man has lost the privilege of worshipping God because nothing sinful can draw near to His holiness. God’s Son, Jesus, came to earth to seek and to save that which was lost so that man could be restored to a personal relationship with God. True worship is only possible within that relationship.

  Music Ministries

At GRBC, music is utilized as a vehicle for worshipping our Creator and Redeemer. Because we recognize that the church is made up of a wide variety of people with a proportionately wide variety of musical tastes and preferences, we attempt to incorporate the best of today's modern worship songs without abandoning the wonderful sacred hymns of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Adult Worship Choir
This choir leads in worship during weekend services and at special events throughout the year. It is open to any adult member of GRBC (no audition required). They rehearse on Wednesday evenings 6:00-6:50pm, September through May.

Praise Team Singers (Adults)
This team regularly leads the congregation in times of corporate worship. These musicians are organized on a rotating schedule. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings and additionally as needed. Audition and 12-month commitment required.

Worship Band
These instrumentalists accompany the Sunday congregational singing and also minister at special musical presentations. Our worship band is open to any GRBC member who has attained high school level proficiency on his instrument. Audition required.

Audio/Visual Ministry
This team operates the sound and video equipment at our regular services and events. They also prepare recordings of each sermon for shut-ins and others, enabling them to participate in the service although they could not attend on a given weekend. On occasion, the team also produces short films or videotaped reports of mission trips and other ministries.

  Missions
  Element_6043a.jpg

At the heart of every Christian's life should be a desire to go and tell others about Jesus. Our Missions Ministry provides our people with opportunities to share their faith locally, throughout the nation and across the world. Also, our church supports a number of missionary families, colleges, and other organizations.

2008 Missions Committee
These individuals, elected by the church membership to two-year terms, assist the pastors and the whole church by communicating with our missionaries, keeping missions work in front of the people, planning short-term trips, and organizing the annual Missions Conference.
