Toby Johnson grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He graduated from the University of Memphis in 1997 and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003.  Toby is a certified biblical counselor with ACBC (formerly NANC).  Prior to coming to Gray Road in October 2009, he served in various pastoral ministry roles in Tennessee, Florida, and Indiana.
 
Susan was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee.  In 1997, she and Toby met in Nashville, Tennessee, on a riverboat called the General Jackson.  They were married just ten months later. Susan teaches at Gray Road Christian School, and she loves to spend time encouraging women in 1-to-1 discipleship.

Toby and Susan have six children and two daughters-in-law: Caleb & Danie, Austin & Maddie, Emilie Grace, Georgia, Anna, and Joshua.
